DESCRIPTION:

Libremente Art Traditional Drawing sessions include a number of non-academic exercises that stimulate lateral thinking and spontaneity of the gesture, activating the right side of our brain.

The course is aimed to develop a deep understanding of the different approaches to drawing: using different materials, copying old Masters drawings, drawing from architectural interiors, landscape, still life, the human figure, elements from personal visual research Sessions will address the perception of edges, spaces, light and shadow, and overall perception in the drawing, stimulating a proper Way of Seeing.

DURING SESSIONS:

After an excellent acknowledgement of materials (from papers to pencils, etc) the attention will be drawn to the fundamental elements of drawing: 
-lines
-light (chiaroscuro)
-color and texture
-shape (bi and three-dimensional)
-space
-composition. 


The use of perspective (central and two-point-perspective) will be introduced, along with the sight-size technique.

MATERIALS:

Graphite, charcoal, fusaggine, sanguine, ink.

​

From the consideration of drawing as an intellectual discipline, as well as an artistic technique, exercises will focus on the activation of perceptual, attentional, mnemonic processes and movement, which facilitate manual and mental experiences of the artistic process.

DESCRIPTION:


At the beginning of the course, you will be introduced to the world of colors, in particular: 

-you will learn how light affects color and how colors affect one another
-you will be able to manipulate colors, tone and intensity of colors
-you will be able to transform colors into their opposite. 
-you will basically use primary colors, black and white to obtain all colors!

MATERIALS:

We will work with tempera, acrylics, ecoline, oil paint, on different papers, canvas and wooden boards. We will also use Pigments and natural paints to paint as old painters used before the revolution of paint in tube!.

It is used to express emotion and is nowadays the most important element in visual communication.
The course will also provide students with a good understanding of Color Psychology.
